The Sunnydale Slayers gave the LAN Hackers everything they had last Thursday night, in what many are calling the best game ever in the history of the AdcFhl. Although the Slayers ended up losing 7-6, they earned the respect of fans across the league - respect that they had lost by going winless in the regular season.
For the second season in a row, the Slayers will be playing the Keane Fire for third spot overall. Last season, the Slayers won the consolation affair in a dramatic shootout. This year, the Slayers are 0-1-1 against the Fire. Tim Farrell had 14 points in those two games, Don Abbott pitched in with 9, and rookie Jason Royal had eight.
The semi-final game against the Hackers saw the reemergence of goaltender Paul Chui, who posted his first game with an 80-plus save percentage since the first game of the year. Chui will have to continue his hot streak if the Slayers hope to contain the Keane Fire's top snipers.
