In a league which has seen free agency limit the number of career single-team players, Kevin Haddad is an oddity. Until the 2003B season, all 81 of his games were played with the Keane Fire. During those illustrious nine seasons, Haddad amassed 255 goals and 199 assists, placing him second in the league's all time scoring list. In fact, Haddad has scored three times as many points as the number two Fire scorer in history.
Haddad has come to terms with the Lite-Sabres after being selected in the 2003B draft by Sabres captain Chris McMaster. Haddad had a successful debut for his new team, scoring 1 goal and 4 assists in a 20-3 win over the Keane Chill.
When Fire captain announced that he would not be re-signing Haddad for the 2003B season, it was with tears in his eyes. "When people look up the Keane Fire in the dictionary, they see a picture of Kev," cried Snelgrove. When asked why somebody in their right mind would look up Keane Fire in the dictionary, Snelgrove abruptly ended the interview.
